List of Federal Roads owned by the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and is presented according to the name of road, number of road, type of road and date of construction across the Northern Emirates network which consists of Fujairah, Ajman, Sharjah, Umm AlQuwain and Ras AlKhaimah. The federal network consists mainly of highways that interconnects the Emirates together. A big part of the federal network contains heavy trucks which transport goods across UAE; thus the road designs are executed according to the best world practices. Nonetheless, UAE's roads have been ranked number one in the world according to the Global Competitiveness Report issued by World Economiv Forum in 2017-2018 where the quality of infrastructure is considered to be highly distinctive. *metadata sheet included in the file
