Prevalence of anemia among women of reproductive age

The reproductive age refers to 15-49 years. Anaemia is a condition in which the number of red blood cells is not sufficient to meet the physiological need of the body. Women of reproductive age and pregnant women are at a high risk of anaemia, which in turn may contribute to maternal morbidity and mortality. According to this dataset, a periodic shift can be observed. In 2000, about 51% of reproductive age women had anaemia in Nepal, whereas, its 35.1% in 2018.
