Mid-Day Meal Programme: 2015-16 to 2019-20

Mid-Day Meal (MDM) is a flagship programme of the Government of India to enhance enrolment, retention and attendance and to simultaneously improve nutritional levels among children up to class 8 studying in schools. Mid-Day Meal is served on all working days in the school. There is a provision to provide MDM to school children in summer vacations in drought-affected areas. MDM is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme funded by both the Centre and State governments, based on fund sharing agreement
