Maksud penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menjadi penyebab rendahnya partisipasi bersekolah tingkat SMP di Kabupaten Manggarai Barat(Provinsi NTT), pada tahun 2008 16 tahun setelah digulirkannya program wajib belajar sembilan tahun secara Nasional.

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that cause the low participation in junior high school level in West Manggarai Regency (NTT Province), in 2008 16 years after the launch of the nine-year compulsory education program nationally.
