Industri tekstil dan produk tekstil (TPT) mempunyai peran penting di dalam perekonomian Indonesia. Namun dalam lima tahun terakhir, secara nasional pangsa industri ini terhadap GDP mengalami penurunan, sementara persaingan TPT di pasar dunia cenderung semakin ketat.

The textile and textile product (TPT) industry has an important role in the Indonesian economy. But in the last five years, the industry's share of GDP has declined nationally, while TPT competition on the world market tends to be tighter.
