Newton-Ungku Omar Fund (NUOF) is a collaboration programme between Government of the United Kingdom (UK) and Malaysia to develop collaboration on research and innovation. The Academy of Sciences Malaysia was given the responsibility to manage and implement seven (7) programmes under the Newton-Ungku Omar Fund (NUOF) as follows :

4. Mobility Grants for Natural Sciences
5. Mobility Grants for Social Sciences & Humanities
6. Newton Research Collaboration Programme (Mobility Grants for Engineering)
7. UK-Malaysia Joint Health Research in Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
